After 7 wonderful months, the time has come and my internship at Identified must come to an end. As I mentioned in one of my previous blogs, I graduated this May and am now chasing my dream to become the next public relations super star.  While I’m excited to take the next step in my career path, I’m sad that my time with Identified will be ending. The experiences I’ve encountered at Identified have been unforgettable.

Identified was my first real entrance into the exciting field of public relations. When I came to Identified as a young and starry-eyed college senior 7 months ago, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I loved to interact with people and to write, but had no idea what to do with that. Now as I am leaving with the support from my supervisors (who I am now lucky to call friends), I have not only found my career match in public relations, but have been given the skills to excel. The skills I’ve learned here will be skills that I will carry on with me through the rest of my professional career.

At Identified, we work hard. Living the start up life means that our work is very fast paced as we are continually growing and evolving. Working in a high speed environment like Identified has allowed me to grow and learn with it and that’s basically the dream for any intern looking to gain some experience.

Everyday at Identified has been a learning experience. Whether I was researching new social media trends, managing Identified’s media coverage, or taking candid snapshots of our team for an upcoming YouTube video, my days were never the same as I constantly faced new, exciting challenges. Ultimately,  this has taught me to be versatile and adapt to any situation, and for that, I am very appreciative.

Overall, the most rewarding part of holding an internship at Identified is having the ability to work for a company that is dedicated to assisting young professionals like myself in today’s chaotic job market. As a recent college graduate, I am no stranger to today’s bleak job market. Nothing is more gratifying than being part of a company aiming to solve such a complex problem. Identified is doing some amazing things, and I’m excited for its future.

From the team pranks to team gym outings, my time at Identified has been amazing and I will miss seeing this fantastic team everyday. I wish you all the best of luck in the future, and I predict only great things for you. I’ll be following you guys every step of the way.

So, Identified, it’s not goodbye; it’s see ya soon!

* A note from Team Identified – Jalahn White, you will be sorely missed. Your coffee-fetching skills and palm-frond fanning abilities were totally top notch. We could not have been more well-caffeinated and appropriately cooled off if not for your supreme intern awesomeness.
