If you're not headed to TiEcon this year, you're definitely missing out.
Identified's Co-CEO and Co-Founder, Brendan Wallace, will be speaking at TiEcon 2012's Social Panel from 10AM – 11AM on Saturday, May 19, 2012, where he'll be participating in a roundtable discussion answering the question: "What are the emerging trends and investment opportunities in social?"
A word from TiEcon 2012 about the panel:
"Social is not a pure play opportunity anymore. It is the underpinning/plumbing of most products (similar to how mobile isnt a “nice to have” for most product development). A well integrated social features into a product becomes a competitive advantage similar to effective SEO, site speed/latency, etc.
Moreover “social” makes a contribution to the bottom line by decreasing cost of user acquisition via word of mouth (virality) and improved conversion rates. On the other hand it also improves loyalty via higher retention. Incumbent consumer industries are especially prime for a massive plumbing overhaul or face disruption. Social is also creeping into enterprise. So what are VCs investing in these days? What are entrepreneurs looking to build out?"
